@andrewmueller9986 I must be living under a rock. 😬 l honestly did not know that the B1G was adding USC, UCLA, UW and Oregon. The UW vs UW game is gonna be confusing. 😖 One thing I like about the expansion is the 2 best Championship game setup. And it's one thing I don't like. It removes the possibility of an upset from the weaker division* knocking off OSU or UM. I remember in the first expansion (Nebaska and Penn St). They both came in thinking they were going to have easy pickings. It didn't quite work out that way. I never did get why Rutgers and Maryland though. *For far too many years it was the Big 2 and little 8. Then in the 90s Iowa and Wisconsin really shook things up.

Looks like they are playing 6 games in conference. They play less in conference than they used to.

Yes the Big 10 Championship Game is pretty much guaranteed to be a two power house game under the 2 best. But I admit I really liked the idea of the possibility of a team from the weaker division* coming in and knocking off OSU or Michigan in an upset. The current setup also allow for really good teams to finish the years with 3 or more losses if they draw a schedule that is flush with the powerhouses. Two teams l don't see slipping from that position are OSU and Michigan. *Let's face it the division without USO and Michigan was the weaker division even if Iowa, Nebraska or Wisconsin were having great years.

@edmandziuk3858 With the two best Championship Game format we could easily see a situation where for the next decade it could be two from the same 4 or 5 teams playing in Indianapolis every year. The likely suspects are Michigan, OSU, USC, Oregon and possibly Washington. With Washington a lot depends on their recruiting success. One thing we won't see anymore are games like the 50some to nothing bitch slap OSU put on Wisconsin. The way it stands right now the B1G and the SEC look to be the two premier college football conferences. That's just my opinion. One thing I do hope is that with Nick Sabban's retirement the luster will start to come off of Alabama somewhat. Michigan and OSU will continue to have strong programs. I suspect USC will be back as will some others. The Big 10 used to be the Big 2 and the little 8. I'd hate yo see the B1G* turn into the Big 4 (or 5) and the little 13 or 14 for decades. The weaker** programs such as Iowa, Wisconsin and Penn St are going to have to compete even harder for top recruits. Plus they face the possibility of promising players being headhunted by other programs. *Is it even legitimate to call it the Big 10 anymore? **Weaker in the sense they aren't in the same class as OSU, Michigan etc. When Wisconsin brought in Alvarez and Pat Richter in the 90s they really did establish a legitimate poseible top 10 program every year. Since then IMO they have slipped. Not quite to the level of the 70 and 80s though. When Nebraska and Penn St entered the conference I suspect they thought they were going to clean up in conference play. It hasn't quite worked out that way has it. Rutgers and Maryland? I have never figured that one out.
