  1. Does Al Gore prefer to be addressed by A) Senator? B) Vice President? Or C) Wannabe President. OK. All joking aside. The main problem is too many people. Sure, the Earth could support a bigger population. But at what cost. So far the only things that can slow population growth besides draconian government policies is education and wealth. Better educated and wealthier societies tend to have lower birth rates. Sometimes tragically low that lead to demographic issues. See Japan. And don't ask me to give an answer for reducing population.
