@Shamris The media is always against censorship. But practice it continuously. Only they call it editing.

@Xander1Sheridan In the days of print media often newspapers were owned by one political party or as another. And displayed a bias towards that party. Supporting the parties aims and candidates. And if opponents would dare to set up shop their supporters felt free to smash the presses. I suspect in the days of the town crier there was bias th hey reported.
