  1. The liberal urbanites have long hated the rural communities. For a time they transferred their hatred to the suburbs. Personally I think they suffer from agoraphobia. Myself Iive in a city of about 100k. Lots of parks. Plenty of green. Actually if I were standing looking out of a window in one of the taller buildings in the city in the summer it looks like a forest with church spires sticking up. I'm maybe five minutes from the countryside. A small home by US standards with room for gardens. There is no freaking way I would give this up for living in a brick or concrete box in the sky. If you like living there that's perfectly fine.
