Remember, if we never prosecute our crime rate goes down. If we prosecute (and file no charges or get no arrest warrants issued) no one we effectively have no crime at all

And the other woman in the khaki pants. "Is anyone getting this". While l have to admit I would like to get off of burning oil. The stuff is too useful for other things. But if that's what they want. Why don't they do something useful instead of virtue signaling.

Monty Python moment "nobody expects the Girl Scouts*" *but only if we have bi-sexual, transgender genetically Male individuals who self identify as heterosexual females
12
We used to donate to a local food bank. I'd see people in nicer cars than mine drive up. There will always be leaches looking to game the system.
10
But this was good pollution and CO2 emissions. Because it was caring and nurturing arson.
10
@pcs9518 No. When it looks like Gary. Or Beirut.
8
Plus they all Express their individuality by dressing alike.
8
Now who ever would have expected this to happen.
8
Because they were too busy earning a living. I often wonder just how many of the perpetual protesters actually have a job. And not just in this crazy year. But any year. But there is one excuse for some off them. If you get out of school with a degree in any of the social justice "disciplines" you are basically unable to do any useful work.
7
The Jenny Durkin Community Housing Project. I suggest that every resident of Seattle that voted for any of the City Council members, Jenny Durkin or the King Co DA volunteer to take 2 homeless people into their homes and provide them with free housing, food, medical care and recreational drugs.
7
If you destroy it, they will come.
7
@KT-bd5ym And then call to reschedule
6
Ford should have been given a pass on future emissions and ”safety" upgrades for the Crown Vic. And GM the same for the last generation rwd Impala. To be allowed to produce them as long as they want strictly for police use.
6
The citizens of King County have the power to change things. If they continue to elect these people in local government they are getting what they deserve.
5
That's the only people they'll get to take the job
5
After all, they need to protect their phoney baloney jobs
4
He's in a dead heat race with Chicago's Brandon Johnson.
4
Madison has an almost recession proof economic situation. Home of not only the state government but also the state university system.
4
Why is there no movements in their native countries to reform or improve the lots of the average person?
4
@tsteinebach287 Did l mention Socialism. Or Venezuela. The same story could be told about Argentina from 1945 to today. Everybody should remember Margaret Thatcher's quote about running out of other people's money.
4
A low cost grocery store tried to open in a closed up Whole Foods (aka Whole Paycheck). The locals protested.
3
Some people have just never heard of the law of unintended consequences
3
@ammitthedevourerofsouls used to volunteer at a soup kitchen, meal center or what ever you choose to call it. Repeat "customers" included some people who have gone through repeated training and education programs. Yet never worked in any of those fields.
3
I was in Ft Lauderdale two three years ago. We were talking to a cop. He told that a lot of Lauderdale was bad. Drugs, gangs and shootings. Notice how three always seem related.
3
Or bear the blame when things go south.
3
@1024Pete Especially if it's for one of the approved "causes".
3
But, but, its COSCO, you know the socially woke version of PriceClub and Sam's. I wonder how the city or county would react if it was Whole Foods (aka Whole Paycheck) or Trader Joe's. Most likely a certificate of praise.
3
Let me guess. King County instituted programs to "help" the homeless. So homelessness increased.
2
They must of got the one back from the Kenosha impound yard
2
Well, they could always turn it into homeless shelter. I would not be surprised if Tose City Antifa tries to take it over
2
Are you serious. You can't expect people to be responsible for themselves. That's racist after all.
2
Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no stinkin' badges.
2
I'm surprised the FBI and Homeland Security didn't show up.
2
I heard that Biden picked up an endorsement from Depends.
2
From the demographics Portland outweighs the rest of the state just like Chiraq in Illinois and NYC in New York state.
2
Just what do you think the Jump Start Tax is for.
1
The majority of the residents (that voted) of Seattle voted for these clowns. They deserve what they got. Unfortunately the minority of residents don't. If Seattle descends into complete anarchy the Council will discover real anarchy and theoretical anarchy are two e truely different things.
1
There are Graffiti artists whose work has been seen by millions. Usually at railroad crossings.
1
@cleobean8723 I'm sure it took two or three months to drive the POS all the way back.
1
No, this isn't the future or the present in all cities. But if your city is run purely on feelings and having to be seen as caring about the disadvantaged (but not really doing anything about it)(1). Yes, then this is your future. 1) The best thing any city (or state or country) fighting the problems of poverty is encouraging actual jobs that can give people a chance. That and actually promote an educated citizen.
1
Pulled over for what? Speeding? Trump stickers? If they are pulling people over for violations l really don't have a problem with that.
1
@assertivekarma1909 Oh, I've seen that locally. The concerned want to open a halfway house. But always in somebody else's neighborhood. Never near them.
1
Wait, l thought Sleepy Joe said Antifa doesn't exist. And didn't this anarchist think of all the pollution and CO2 released into atmospere. Oh no! The polar bears are gonns die!
1
Glad l didn't move there 30 years ago.
1
The Leftists and Islamists riot and it is not an insurrection.
1
We got rid of the commodities program because it denied people choices. How about this choice. Work or go hungry.
1
Riot Kitchen. When they showed up in Wisconsin they immediately got busted
1
But they've got insurance! Which never makes you whole.
1
They should have sent out a social worker. Better yet. Put her on hold. Indefinitely.
1
One good sign is Detroit is sueing BLM
1
Shocking. But utterly predictable. And I'll bet if the homeless try and leave they will be "encouraged" to remain.
1
The city council will probably try to decriminalize all sorts of things. "See, the crime rate dropped!" If there are no crimes to commit then there are no crimes to investigate.
1
Weebles Wabl.....Somebody had to say it.
1
And the only residents left will be the ones too lazy to move.
1
With EVs they will have to. ICE vehicle drivers are already paying by mileage at the pump.
1
Why was this predictable
1
@johng4093 Last there in 07. It was already run down. Went in 83, seemed fine then.
1
@johng4093 Yah, they like to call it "the City". As if it's the only one. The 💩y
1
And caught taggers just got to clean it up with a tooth brush
1
Defund, Disband, yadda, yadda, yadda. Look forward to 2021.
1
From their viewpoint why should they. They were told they were welcome. Basically they heard "come on down" as was said on the old game show. Maybe now people in the so called sancuary cities will realize the idiocy of their position. This is not about cutting off imigration entirely. It is about managing immigration. The people wjo support the idea of unlimited immigration will never have to be subjected to the effects until everything has gone down the tubes. And then they will wonder just what the hell happened.
1
In 1942 SF likely had a lot of younger cops going into the service. Plus they had the Shore Patrol and MPs to lean on.
1
@timhoovermusicman It called sarcasm
1
Of course crime is low when you never charge much less prosecute someone. If you slam on the brakes to avoid hitting a pedestrian crossing against the light in Portland. Would you be better off hitting them or leaving skid marks on the Pride crosswalk?
1
Why are we the target of shoplifters? Well duh. It's right on your store.
1
I see this working out well.
1
Remember the old 10 Years After song. Tax the rich. Feed the poor Until there are no rich no more. Thats the logic of the progressive. The only thing is being rich becomes an ever downward sliding scales. The logical end result is everybody's poor. Its long been my opinion that there are politicians who if they were given the entire GDP of the US it still would not be enough money.
1
The pleading whine, "we're environmental protesters ". Plus they're anti-capitalist. Yah right. Sporting their i phones. I doubt any are using Android phones. Those are for the plebs.
