  1. We used to donate to a local food bank. I'd see people in nicer cars than mine drive up. There will always be leaches looking to game the system.

  2. A low cost grocery store tried to open in a closed up Whole Foods (aka Whole Paycheck). The locals protested.

  3.  @ammitthedevourerofsouls  used to volunteer at a soup kitchen, meal center or what ever you choose to call it. Repeat "customers" included some people who have gone through repeated training and education programs. Yet never worked in any of those fields.

  5. We got rid of the commodities program because it denied people choices. How about this choice. Work or go hungry.
