While some will consider this a landslide victory one also needs to remember that for every 52 votes Biden received nationwide 48 people thought differently. The US is still deeply divided on many issues. And the division is not so much on the issues at stake themselves but what to do about them. Yes there are the extremists and crazies. ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DIVIDE. Biden has said he wants to try and heal the divisions. I want them healed also. But to do it I also think he will wind up alienating the progressive wing of his own party. I personally would like to see the rise of a centrist party in the US that would leave both the Republicans and Democrats with just the extremists.
