  1. If the Ice Cap over Greenland melts completely by that time humanity will have moved away from fossil fuels to provide energy. Between renewables and fusion finally coming on line there simply will be no need. There will likely still be some petrochemical industry around. The stuff is simply too useful for other stuff. What I wonder about is just what caused Greenland to freeze over in the first place.

  3. Iceland actually had extensive forest coverage when the Norse arrived. Don't call them Vikings. To go viking was an action. After the Norse settled they gradually cut trees for fuel and timber until the island was stripped of its trees. And the Norse were probably not the first people to settle on Iceland. It is thought that there was a small population of Irish monks living there.

  4. What caused Greenland to freeze over in the first place. None of the large islands in the Canadian Artic have permanent large ice caps. Theres a YouTube channel that shows there are large numbers of ancient monumental structures on Earth that are oriented to the cardinal directions. Such as the pyramids in Egypt are oriented to to true north. Yet there is a second group of structures from different regions oriented to a point over the north end of Greenland. About 73°N47°W. And a third group to a point South of that. And a fourth group South of that. I do not agree with the individuals idea why. I just find the data interesting. And how did he find this data. Google Earth. Google Earth and Maps are very useful for finding past evidence of some of the effects of just what happened at the end of the last Glacial Advance.
