Do you mean illegally? Legal immigrants can make for very good citizens. Note l said CAN. The problem l see from the US is you are gaining an excess of young men illegally immigrating into Britain not because they see a better future but because they see suckers who will take care of them. IMO certain questions need to be asked. 1) Just who is paying for all the nice Zodiacs they drive up onto the beaches of southern England. Along with their uniformly all the same life jackets and the 100 hp outboard motors from Yamaha, Honda or Mercury. 2) What happens to the Zodiacs? Do they get off the beach and go back for another load? Do they get seized? 3) How are these "asylum seekers" getting to France in the first place? None of them look under nourished. They all seem to have the latest cell phones. 4) From the reports l see the UK has. Housing crisis. UK residents are waiting lists for government owned housing. Who gets preference. And when are the residents of the UK saying enough.

In the US every so often we hear proposals to privitize the mail. Only in the US Constitution there is a requirement for the government to provide postal service to every resident (1)(2). It does not mean service to your mailbox necessarily but it does mean service. If your postal service does get sold off look to see unprofitable service areas to get reduced service or eliminated altogether. And higher rates. 1) Prior to the reforms of government service under President Chester A Arthur government jobs especially Post Master jobs were prime patronage jobs. Lincoln when he first became president and was besieged by office seekers is said to have commented about not enough teats for the pigs. 2) About the only things the US Constitution required the Federal Government to do was deliver the mail and provide for the common defense.
