  1. As a ciliviani of course never never thrown a I've grenade. Thrown a dummy practice one of the old pineapple style (50 years ago). But at the time I thought why doesn't the military come up with a grenade the size and weight of a major league ball. Something practically every possible recruit* or draftee would have had experience throwing in his youth. *Wouldn't first time enlistees be a cuirt and if you re-up you are a re-cruit?
