  1. In terms of horned helmets being used in actual combat it sounds silly. First it would be far too easy for the horns to deflect an overhead strike that might be shed to the side onto the top of the head. Secondly a blow from side to side would catch either tearing the helmet off or shoving the warrior so badly that it leaves him open to a follow up strike.
