  1. Tax the rich, feed the poor, until there are no rich no more. The logical end to this is the state owns everything and you line up for your bowl of gruel before shuffling off to help build the glories of socialism. The reason it is logical Is because what is defined as wealth and being wealthy becomes a sliding scale. Give it time and it gets to the point that own your own home, or car, or have any savings and you are the wealthy.

  2. And after pretty soon after they tax the wealthiest out of existence they'll come after the next wealthiest. Like the old song goes "tax the rich, feed the poor, until there are no rich no more". Of course the end result is everybody's poor. If the politicians really want to make sure everybody pays their fair share, close the loop holes and institute either a straight flat tax or a graduated one.
