  1. Yodeling Neanderthals 👍👍, works for me Seriously, they were able to survive in multiple environments. They survived through multiple glacial and inter-glacial periods. They made stone tools. And beyond some wooden spears we have no idea just what level of technology using organic materials they had. DNA research has opened a new window on their capabilities. I suspect that the more sites we find, the more we will be forced to change our opinion of just what they could do. One thing I wonder about is did they sometimes keep pets. If so they were started down the road to keeping domesticated animals
