  1. I am of the opinion that vertical axis wind turbine have certain advantages over the conventional ones we see. Even if they are not as efficent. 1) They can be placed in denser patterns. 2) The large mass of the generator set can be placed at ground level easing the servicing of the unit. 3) Without the heavy mass of the generator set being x number of meters in the air on top of a pylon it should require less concrete for the foundation
