  2. I find the majority of modern vehicles hideously ugly. I prefer clean simple lines. Not as simple as the 4 door compact of the 60s. But more elegant than that. Saddly l doubt we will never see 2 door hardtops make their appearance again in sedans (1). Rollover standards have seen to that. One company that seems to have avoided this trend is VW. Saw a Passat wagon the other day. Striking for the amount of greenhouse. 1) IMO one of the most elegantly designed cars of the 60s in terms of cleanliness of line along with elegant simplicity was the 2nd generation Corvair 2 door hardtop. Some of Chryslers cab forward designs were also elegant of line.
