  2. The cooling of anything with Wasp Major had to be a challenge. When we see pictures of the engines it is often sans cooling baffles. One trick the Wasp Major used was offsetting the intake and exhaust valves for maximum cooling. A trick first used by Franklin Motors on their air cooled car engines.
