If any of the States passes Voter ID Bill's that require certain forms of identification* I have no problem with that. If that State then makes it harder to obtain the required identification by closes State offices that issue said IDs then yes voter ID can be voter suppression. An example would be a State passes legislation that you need some form of ID issued by a State office (typically the DMV**). But then closes a large number of DMV offices by "consolidating" multiple offices together with limited hours that is a way it could be done. An example would be if you have let's say five primarily rural counties with fairly low population and each county has a DMV office. The State closes four of them and consolidates those offices into one office that is as far away as possible from a certain population some State officials may try to dis-enfranchise. And that is the only way Voter ID can be voter suppression. The idea I've heard liberals float about Voter ID that certain minorities or racial groups would basically too lazy or stupid obtain said ID is truely racist. *the ID can be drivers license or state issued IDs used in lieu of the aforementioned. Requiring multiple forms of ID at the polls is wrong IMO. As long as you have ID issued by the State you reside in that should be enough. ** let's not mention a visit to the DMV can be a case of voter suppression all by itself

@oatnoid I'm not throwing up my hands. Merely pointing out how Voter ID, Voter Validation systems could be misused.
