  1. I have to wonder if any of these were ever fired beyond possible proofing at the factory. I can just imagine somebody building AKs in a hut in Afganistan and the customer wants one just like the one used by the Quatari Royal Guard.

  2. One really nasty thing about chrome is if you have two mating parts that are spinning the chrome will have tendency to adhere the parts together. We had screw machines with hydraulic chucks on the spindles. The back of the spindle had a rotary hydraulic coupling. Even with high pressure going to the coupling the spool would sieze up when the chrome surfaces picked up locking the whole machine. What actually locked up the machine were the hydraulic lines which were bent out of copper tubing.
