  2. I suspect the reason the NYPD bought them is because Auto Ordinance wanted twice as much for a Thompson. The NYPD probably has their's sitting in storage some place in a police armory the storage boxes gathering dust. It would be interesting to see just what the price difference vs a Thompson was
