  1. The overwhelming majority of enslaved Africans were shipped to Brazil and the Caribbean. Mainly to be worked to death on sugar plantations. It may sound cruel but the Africans transported to the British colonies in North Ameria and what later became the US were probably the lucky ones. Luck that did not necessarily pass on to their descendants.
