  1. I must be an oddity. In the past year I have bought three shirts to replace two shirts that I know I bought in 2002 or 2003. And one shirt that was at least 12 years old. The only items of clothing I ever replace on anywhere near a regular basis are the items that typically see the most wear. Socks and jeans. And the jeans typically last three to four years as they go from good to knock around to yard work* to painting. If you want to clothing to last. Insist on good quality. Plus if it is an item of dress wear. High quality with classic style never goes out of style. *we have dogs and my wife likes to garden. So sue me.
