  2. ​ @rogerdewhurst5750  IIRC it's over 2000ft/609m in the Straits. Plus there are areas of the Med that go down to over 5000ft/1522m in depth. So no lakes except maybe in parts of the Aehean or Adriatic. There are the ruins of stone structures in the area of the Dardanelles thou. Discovered by Robert Ballard and his team from Woods Hole. At least 8000 years .old
