up date below there are only 2 reasons for an abortion RAPE / INCEST OR MAY CAUSE DEATH TO THE MOTHER / BABY. trying to justify killing a child and preventing it a chance to live life by saying "oh what if they are not economically ready" or "oh what if the mother does not love it" is just a lazy DISGUSTING excuse. IF YOU'RE NOT READY TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY THEN DONT HAVE SEX. if that is to much to ask then USE MULTIPLE CONTRACEPTIVES (spermicide, pill, condom) even scientist call an embryo life. remember you to were once just a "cluster of cells" i no longer hold this position. this post was 7 - 8 months ago i have since changed my position some what, i no longer feel it moral or logical to kill a child due to a rape case as the baby is its own individual / person and not apart of the mothers body, the one thing i am still struggling with is in a case where the mothers life in danger; so, is it moral to save yourself to take care of your family, but abort the child, or have the child and leave your potential children / family. but yes i no longer hold this position.

rape/incest often is NOT under the same circumstances as normal sex. there is NO choice for the Victim to have sex let alone take responsibility for the sex that they did not want. the issue with using that train of logic is that if having the baby will kill the mother then you should let the mother die and have the baby as it did nothing wrong. so by that logic if having the baby will kill the mother then you should let the mother die and have the baby, i assume you support this?

Oliver Carpenter often times incest is the product of being indoctrinated and sheltered from the outside world, basically brain washing someone and then conceiving children with them very rarely are there LEGIT incest cases where the two are 100% understanding of the negatives and complications with it.

Null i never said i was a pro-lifer and how is being raped or indoctrinated / brain washed into incest under anyone's control? i can see your point though and im not closed to change or changing my opinion you do bring up good points.

"All I really see here from you is shaming people for making a hard decision in a way you dislike" there we go the truth why you disagree, look like i said at some point not only were you a mere pack of cells but also you're taking the right of life away from another person based on self interest, like i said before in the case of rape or endangerment there is definitely a case for that, as they did not WANT to have sex thus they did not choose to take responsibility for the life they created "all I really see here from you is shaming people" i would like to take this apart a bit more, why should i or majority of the west (who is not fond of abortion or disagrees with it) be forced to praise or comfort someone for killing a life? this is disgusting and strange for you to think we should all get on our knees and lick their feet, the baby is not their body, it is its own, its human, and its alive, there is no reason to kill it under normal sexual circumstances.

Hans Smirnov i can see validity in that case, im sure the person who was born from the rape was more than happy the mother did not abort him / her. i can see the argument for why thats right, but i can also see how that could torment or torture the mother from a dramatic sexual assault for the rest of her life. i dont think its the governments right to tell her under those circumstances that she has to CARE FOR THE CHILD, so perhaps either 1. Abortion (worst case scenario) or 2. Rapist / goverment funded adoption? perhaps? im curious whats your take on what happens if the mother has a baby and she will die but if she has the baby aborted she will survive, do you think she should die or let the baby die?
