  1. Dodge hasn't learned yet... this car just wont make it in any other market expect usa and even there its struggling, this is simply to much racecar and to little sports car / supercar. The base viper is already lacking any driving refinement... And whats up with these top speeds lately the z06 z07 package has a top speed of 186 and this viper 177... i get they want down force but there needs to be a better balance between down force and speed.

  3. brett248vista as i said in my original comment i understand that... maybe they need to use adjustable aero  or something... these cars are losing so much top end acceleration due to how aggressive there stationary aero is. 186 and 177 MPH is not as high as it once was.... now cars are reaching these speeds in under 25 seconds just feels a bit slow...

  4. brett248vista well i was thinking more in line like 911 turbo s, mclaren 650s, audi R8 in terms of adjustable aero... you have to remember that with these lower top speeds also means that you will lose pull the higher you go...  look at motor trends test of the Z06 Z06 vs GTR nimso the Z06 had almost to much down force that killed its speed apex zones. now no need to tell me i know the Z06 was retested VS the nismo and beat it but the retest the Z06 still suffered from to much down force on the straights.

GTVenomis my point was not reaching those speeds on a  TRACK LOL! my point was finding a balance between straight line acceleration and speed to that of handling... if you're spending 140K+ on a super car perhaps electronic /  adjustable aero should be used... now i was not just talking about the viper here i was also talking about the Z07 package and even the nismo as they to have lower top speeds and as a result slower acceleration to 100+ MPH speeds.. there is no shortage of roll racing videos or 1/2 mile videos that will reach speeds over that and will inevitably show the limitations of these cars (ACR, Z07, N-ATTACK nismo) yes i know the Z07, ACR, and nismo are meant for TRACK USE but in this day and age if you're spending this much money it needs to be able to do more. notice i didnt even mention livability, comfort, practicality, grand touring ability, or road usefulness which this car already lacked.
