  1. It's not just the deaths either. Almost 30% of people in the US are underinsured, forcing them to live with long term health problems that shorten their lifespans and ruin their quality of life. I don't see how this even makes sense to capitalism, because the broken healthcare system costs the US economy over half a trillion dollars in lost productivity each year.
