  1. Like you, we are in a rental. We may stalk the market for an older home on a good lot to demolish. Then build the home we want. There is a decent amount of equity for anyone willing to put up with building and the time it takes. Since we are already in a rental and have time, it makes sense. I had old emails from 2018 to compare current costs. On average, a 600-725k costs about $40k more to build... not bad actually. Have you thought about making a video on building/building costs and when will material prices drop. Will it follow the path of the real-estate market in general. Stay bonkers my friend.

  3.  @princecynebaldEl3164  Some people may not need financing. The opportunity for a tear down home, on a good lot, at a great price is another option. Home building materials dropping especially lumber. Demand from new home builders is dropping, obviously building prices will react accordingly regardless of shortage etc.
