Rates have come down a bit and people are tired if waiting. It's been a long 2-3 years. I have said it on the live streams, at what point is the happiness of your family worth the savings. Being displaced and waiting in the sidelines. That's the feedback I'm getting. People are willing to jump on a decent deal right now and move on with their lives, especially with an unknown economy... might as well be settled. I'm seeing people adjusted their home criteria to match thr market, rates and economy. As for Florida... you're dealing with retirement money. In general older or more established people. Easier to spend money when you're at that point in your life... you certainly can't take it with you. Also, who wants to grow old in Michigan?... Florida sure sounds appealing. Every area, and situation is unique. It's up to you to determine what's best for you. One factor I'm dealing with in my area of Florida, is that in general my area was under priced. Although covid caused prices to go up, I think it's priced where it should have been all along. Many many variables here and that's what keep me intrigued.
