  1. I'd argue with the first bullet point re "Very similar capability to the M1A2". These do not have the Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV) and therefore do not have the "Hunter-Killer" capability. Plus I suspect that the Thermals and Gunner's sights are not to M1A2 standard.

  2. This is old footage of USMC vehicles (with the wader adapter over the engine exhaust) and the USMC retired their tank capability some time ago.

  3.  @mrgrinch837 Yes I know, having commanded a group of them (not in Desert Storm though). Ours are currently, pending upgrades, M1A1 AIM SAs.
