@glen7318 In his younger years, Charles expressed hesitation about marriage, believing a man should marry when he could no longer "chase girls" (a sentiment often attributed to him). In 1969, when he was 21, in a BBC interview he said as much. Later he said that for him marriage meant marriage to a suitable woman which meant something to be endured, not for love, and needed careful thought and not until necessary.
