  1. In the 1970's there was a computer game you could play if you had access to a mainframe computer via a video terminal. It was stated that the game accurately modelled lunar gravitation, lander inertia, engine thrust and fuel consumption, etc. It was not easy to successfully land. Most people (mostly university students) needed about 6 to 10 tries to get it right. The reward came when you finally did a successful land - the terminal screen showed wreckage from the crashes you had made.
