The presenter of the video and most of the commenters have apparently not noticed that a ferry capable of taking about 7 cars or a large truck has been replaced by a ferry that can take only three cars and no large truck. Probably because to make a solar powered ferry to take 7 cars / 1 large truck would need far more solar panel than would fit across the inlet. I thought one of our State governments her in Australia was dumb - they decided to get a trail fleet of hydrogen powered cars - there being nothing in the exhaust except pure water and the nitrogen from the air. So they asked the local gas supply company if they could supply hydrogen. Sure, no worries, said the company, who at certain of their depots, set up a huge diesel generator to generate the massive amount of power needed to split water into hydrogen and oxygen - the only known way to get hydrogen in bulk quantities. What with all the conversion losses at each stage in the process, the amount of CO2 injected into the atmosphere by these diesel electrolysis plants is about double the amount of CO2 if all the cars were normal IC cars.
