  2. Basically, the Dymaxion is a Ford Model A being driven backwards. The engine is in the back facing the back and driving the standard Model A differential & rear axle assembly installed upside down in the front to drive the front wheels. To have the front wheels steer you would have to completely redesign the car.

  3. The commentator said inter-operability confers a big advantage. Well, a big advantage to the USA anyway. Why do we need missile capable subs able to attack China? China is our biggest trading partner. Just about anything factory made you can buy retail in Australia comes from China. If China wants to attack Australia and ruin us, all it has to do is turn off exports and imports at its own ports - and you cannot launch missiles to fix that.
