@jackalenterprisesofohio It's quite unlikely we would be speaking Japanese, because a major factor in the US imposing crippling trade sanctions on Japan was Churchill's campaigning for US sanctions. It was these sanctions that caused Japan to start the War in the Pacific. Further, without being heavily committed to fighting in Europe, if Japan had attacked, she would have been crushed much more quickly. Without US support, Hitler would have conquered Britain. But that may not have been the end of it as Hitler had always planned to attack the USSR, and the USSR then had a policy of world domination by force. The USSR would have won against Germany - after all its contribution in WW2 far outweighed the US. So today we might all be speaking Russian.
