  1. The presenter doesn't know much, does he? The engine is not a flat twin, it's an inline twin. It's essentially a transverse twin motorcycle engine, and a coil for each plug is not an overkill as the presenter claimed at 4:07, its standard motorcycle practice, as best dynamic balance is obtained in an inline twin with both cylinders firing together. If you had only one coil, one plug would hog all the discharge. Ah! NSU, the company that would spend money building a car more or less right, but make do with a really gutless engine. Then bring out the utterly ridiculous Ro-80 - the expensive luxury car that required an engine rebuild about every 4 to 6 months. The presenter has us believe that it drives like a new one - but he didn't tell us the mileage. Perhaps it has been restored.
