  1. Found and Explained said that the Soviet Bison jet bomber was thought in the US to be able to bomb at supersonic speed. Highly unlikely - the Soviets would have to defy the laws of physics to achieve that. Perhaps he confused it with the much later M-50 Bounder, which could fly supersonically but most likely had to drop below Mach 1 to drop bombs (and never entered service except as a test bed).
