  2. Sorry, but while pharmaceuticals can kill, homeopathy pretty much does nothing other than have a placebo effect. In other words the patient believes that they are better because they have been told 'take this it will work'. There was believed to be such a thing as the memory of water, in so much as it was believed that homeopathy worked by imprinting a shadow on the water. this theory was debunked. One of my colleagues at Cambridge University, Polly Matzinger was interested in this.
