  5. Zargulio uk has loads of talent. Don't be anxious. What we need now is a brief hiatus so we can decide the direction ahead. I personally would like to see uk adopt the following approach but it would take leadership that puts uk and EU interests before party or personal. 1. We exit by repealing the 1972 ec act instead of article 50. This would be a clear signal that the uk is making the decisions. 2. We make a CLEAR, UNEQUIVOCAL statement that we will NOT be cajoled or strongarmed into accepting free movement of people as a condition of access to the corporate cartel posing as the "single" market. We can just as easily make conditions to access our market. Many countries: Canada, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand are already making overtures to the uk for access to our market and Australia even wants to re-instate visa free travel mutually. 3. If the EU are intransigent regarding free movement, we ignore them. Absolutely IGNORE them and offer tariff free trade to any country that will reciprocate (within reason) This will send trade shockwaves through the EU countries who will get an APPETITE for actually trading without having to polish the knobs of the kratz. That means we will accept import of goods and services that confirm to our laws and we will conform to the trading partners laws. 4. We repatriate our fishing areas, and start building up our fishing industry. 5. We make policy for our agriculture that fits our needs and do our damnedest to make farming profitable and attractive to our farmers (and dairy ofc, and poultry and eggs and related industries). It means UK can start producing wide varieties again and these markets can get liberalised. We can start industrialising again. In the EU the Germans took the industrial mantle while we were given the financial thingies to do. Be in no doubt that the EU always wanted to scupper our financial sector and would have done it by hook or by crook if we had remained. That way the EU could have totally pussy whipped and subjugated us. 6. We dismantle many of the silly EU rules and REDISCOVER our culture. My grandmother used to make turkey meals at Christmas and used turkey giblets to make delicious dishes. Under eu rules as I understand it, poultry has to be totally eviscerated. I think you can ask for giblets at a butcher but I'm not sure... but we can rediscover those great uses of food we had. The EU may press on with TTIP and the USA want to be able to sell GM foods into the EU without labeling. We can make a law that REQUIRES labeling of GM foods and stop that nonsense. Under the EU we would have to wear whatever the secret negotiations forced on us. We can have EXCELLENT rules about healthy food products that SUIT OUR NEEDS. 7. We protect eu residents in the uk who entered legitimately, and treat them as we would have done under the eu. We would expect our ex-pats to receive equivalent treatment. We can open up our immigration and visiting visas to the world again and revive our once fantastic private education industry which brought so many people to our country to learn and sample uk life. This was wrecked by labour and conservatives in an attempt to convince people we had control over the immigration figures. It was all a lie and now uk is a stench in the nostrils of overseas students. Seriously..... I could go on and on. But mostly, we need to be CONFIDENT and go out with HIGH EXPECTATIONS and have clear lines we will not allow crossed so they know we are serious. We need to stand out ground on issues that matter to us and not be brow beaten by the eu as they will take advantage of any perceived weakness... I could add but that should give a tenor of thought for now. I could mention having our OWN foreign policy (which we generally do anyway) but strengthened to reflect UK concerns. ... I could go on and on. Mostly we need to ignore all the negative doomladen crap the media are wanking themselves over right now. .... over to you. ..
