  1. Dear God. .... I want to be able to support my government because I want to be a positive person. .... "Help to buy".... It distorts the market. It throws MY tax money at developers who will snaffle it and say "thanks chump". It does nothing to deal with the REAL problem of PROVISION of cost effective housing. I am not a home owner. But I'm paying for new builds for other people .... How is that helpful? Why don't the govt FREE UP building approval? Why don't they PROMOTE cheaper, better, more cost effective building techniques? Like container city? How about pumping money into our canal system and promoting alternative ways of building a life? How about prebuilt homes? How about RETHINKING building materials and making homes use solar and other energy? How about offering GREAT R and D incentives for ENERGY GATHERING AND STORAGE AND RELEASE? The UK should be LEADING the fucking WORLD with innovation here! This "help to buy" thing is full of Ka Ka.
