They get over 90% of their seafood from outside UK. When we get control of our waters back, we will own the supply chain. You sound like a stupid remoaner believing all the moaning propaganda and lies. Get your facts right. This is one of two ports seeking fast tracking for seafood transport. We're leaving the Eu.

  5. Uh huh. Actually the UK was dragged without it's permission into the EU and we have long been sceptical of it. I've loathed and detested the EU for 2 decades, for example. Maastricht created this monstrous, unwanted, political union and Major took us into it without even asking the UK people. And Brown swanned off and signed the Lisbon constitution (renamed treaty because they treat us like we are dumb) once again, for his own vainglory and without even bothering to ask UK people if we wanted it. The Lisbon treaty was rejected by a series of referenda and they just ignored it and imposed that total CRAP upon us AGAINST our wishes. The MESS is this scuzzy horrible, rejected, hated and unwanted union. Boris is doing what WE said and taking us out. Now I know the political lizards and insects don't like that, but I don't care what they like. I think THEY are the cause of the "mess" we are in.

  8. bert1029 they don't. I'm a londoner. They don't look like xenophobes in the north. I'm glad we voted to leave. I voted to leave. There are too many people coming into the UK it has nothing to do with race. It is about practicality and taking care of your population. We should look after ourselves and we can be generous and helpful to people within reason The UK is not a charity. We can be charitable but we have our own needs. That is not selfish, it's normal.

  9. Iceland is not an eu trading partner. Iceland is not an eu member. It is part of the EFTA. Grimsby can rebuild its fishing industry once we regain control of our waters. Over 90% of the seafood it processes is from outside the UK. That's because the Eu has wrecked our fishing industry. One industry in one port is not indicative of the overall UK mindset. We are leaving and that's that. Only remoaners use this to claim that the UK is having second thoughts. Actually we want our once great fishing industry back. The processors will have plenty to do.
