  3. Lee Davis Thank you for being polite and expressing your view. The way i see it, Nigel was the interviewer and Fermi was the guest. Nigel let's people make their points. He's not afraid of that. But he also has to manage the time because of advertising and commercial reasons. Fermi was steamrolling Nigel and talking over him. Nigel was not against giving him time to speak but he was trying to dominate the conversation and that forced Nigels hand He MAY have been able to handle it more discreetly but that comes with experience and Nigel is a learner in this area. My view is a bit more nuanced IMO. My perception of Nigel is that he is NOT AFRAID of views that differ from his. He has all the time in the world for them but here he has to think of the commercial reality. I think he went an extra mile.

But that is the commercial reality. He'll have to develop techniques to get interviewees to make their points and not use his interviews as a soapbox. Which Fermi did. And actually Fermi went into the interview with the INTENTION of using Nigel's weakness as a soapbox. That's what I see. You can disagree. Nigel needs to see himself as an interviewer and interrogator instead of trying to be a chum. That's what happened.

The policy of the UK government is that there will be no second referendum of any fashion and that the article 50 notification will not be withdrawn We are therefore set to terminate our eu membership on March 29th 2019 11pm. The treaties will not apply to the UK as our membership will end. Anything else?

But his instinct is actually to give the interviewee space He needs to learn to balance that with commercial pressure and that's definitely not easy. If you heard the entire programme you would know that Nigel tends to let the interviewee rule the roost. Which i actually find refreshing. Nigel is a very "connecting" and engaging person. He enjoys human contact and it shows in his humour. I challenge you to go through his media interviews and you will see my point. He actually likes people disagreeing with him and communicating. ...
