Dryers aren't massively popular in England, although we did have a washer dryer years ago, but never used it 😂 Just hang the clothes outside. It's free.

When my English cousin lived in Florida, his wife used to drive her son to school every day, even though it was a literal 5 minute walk. The locals thought my cousin mad for walking to work too (15 minutes). His son was 15 at the time, and I kid you not, had never crossed a road on his own. In fact he'd never been anywhere on his own. Mum drove him everywhere , as did everyone else with their children.

Apparently you can get ranch in the UK, although it's not very popular. In fact I'd never heard of it until recently. I did have a look in my local supermarket but they didn't have it. Plus it's salt and vinegar on chips for me.

I think the watershed in the uk is 21:00. After that it's a free for all. I've seen Americans seem shocked by the language on British telly, especially when they're on programmes like the Graham Norton show, for example.

Speaking of censorship, "The Inbetweeners " gives you an idea of what goes on English tv 😂

The ketchup in the US, like most things, is different to the rest of the world. Far too sweet.

I'd hate to have no garden fences, especially at the front. What's to stop people walking all over your garden? Although many properties in the US you aren't allowed to do things to your house, even paint it the colour of your choice even if you own it. Freedom eh😂

@Monica-gc5dh it's not as wet as people think. I have washing out today. Plus my cousin lived in Florida and still used a tumble dryer 🤣

Exactly that.

They don't do gravy. Not what we call gravy anyway.

Cheesy chips I guess.

True, apart from one house ( a 3 storey new build in the 70s) all our washing machine have been in the kitchen. The houses are just too small to put them anywhere else. Dryers definitely aren't common though, we just hang the clothes outside to dry. I did have one washing machine with the tumble dryer built in but didn't use it. Costs loads, takes ages and ruins the clothes

I'm guessing cheesy chips. They don't call chips, chips.
