With regard to your last observation, Gary (about the young being poor and opportunity-less) the truth is, I find, *that this is not a new thing*. It was the same during the end 1980s/1990s. There was a terrible recession on, worse than the 2008 one. Rents were high in proportion to average wages. Wages for young people. Including white-collar/office wages, were low. And so on. ALL due to Thatcherism. So what has changed? 😏
