@LaputaScorefinger He never said he FOUND any of these things.. He just researched into them, and travelled to the countries they were associated with. That's like you saying that the authors of the book The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail (the non-fiction book that The Da Vinci Code was based on) FOUND the Holy Grail! Or that they said they did. They didn't. They theorised anyway that it was a metaphor for a bloodline. Shows you how much you know! 😏

@LaputaScorefinger Nope! Most of the Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln book has nothing to do with him. It has to do with far deeper research into the Knights Templar and such. (And how loads of them went to Scotland! 🙂 And some may even have ended up in America.. America likes to cover up its own history, prior to its revolutionary war, and a few Pilgrim Fathers.. And Columbus of course, though he never set foot in North America. Yet you're all thinking he "discovered" America!! 🤣🤣🤣) You just believe anything and everything you learned at school.

Read the one about the Ark of the Covenant. If you haven't read any of the works of a living author since the 1970s, you don't know that author's work. Simple as that. (It's like saying "I don't like Stephen King because I hated Cujo." I didn't like that dog either, yet I'm quite the fan of King's writing now. 🙂)

@DanSk451 Why wouldn't some of them be? You are just closed to the idea that cities as a concept are a lot older than many think! Look at Gobekli Tepe! And every time they have a particularly stormy monsoon, a hurricane, typhoon, tsunami or something off the coast of India.. All sorts of strange artefacts wash up. Golden statues and everything: from submerged settlements no-one had any inkling of! I've seen documentaries about it years ago, that had nothing to do with Hancock.

@DanSk451 Gobekli Tepe. (Albeit that's not underwater. So it's easier to excavate.) Stuff without carbon in it, can't be carbon dated. There IS, I believe, some process to date stone: some kind of crystalline analysis or something. (But would that tell you when the stone had been WORKED?) And just HOW are you going to date (scientifically, not just based on art styles and stuff) the likes of a golden statue? For instance? So. It's not as simple as you think. I've read tons of books on it, or referring to how we date things. So stop being a dummy, and taking other people for one. Most of these scientists don't know Jack, because we simply don't have the dating technology. And I bet that trying to date by stratigraphy underwater is well nigh IMPOSSIBLE. Anyway. In India (here I go again 🙂) I remember a couple of documentaries saying that they had discovered some unknown script (not Sanskrit) which appears to predate, probably significantly, so like 9,000 years ago! the supposed "invention" of writing in Sumer, which of course is the place (Middle East) all Western scientists and archaeologists especially have been obsessed with for centuries. So they're not keen on the ancient Indian writing.. It's all cultural bias. 😏

@kylewilliams8114 There is evidence of habitation there. What about the weaving? I recall on a documentary something about weaving. And, of course, it's not the only ancient Turkish site. And I don't see why you're doing all the hairsplitting: "religious site" as opposed to "habitation". Oh but I see what you're trying to do there: you're trying to make it seem more like Stonehenge, so as to minimise it somehow! Nice try, not. 😏 Stonehenge is just a few stones. Those Turkish sites are something far more involved.

"Decense"?? Nothing he says sounds stupid to me! (I passed the Mensa exam first time aged 19 many years ago.) Still I haven't read all his books. The one about the Ark of the covenant being in Ethiopia is very well researched and argued, for a start. And he actually went there, for months and years, unlike all the armchair YouTubers!

@MossyMozart Jericho definitely counts as a city. You know, I'd count Gobekli Tepe (and that other Turkish one I can't remember the name of) as a proto-city. It was definitely a religions centre, and had all that artwork. I'll watch the video you recommended! 🙂👍

It was an a documentary I saw at least 15 years ago: so, not having a photographic memory, obviously I can't remember the name of the script, the documentary or the precise area the script was found in! Are you daft? I've found out that a lot of skeptoids commenting on YouTube have apparently watched far fewer (mainstream) documentaries than I have. Still, Google is your friend, as they say! Why don't YOU Google something like "ancient Indian script discovered speculated to be 9, 000 years old"? I haven't done it because I've got other things to do. But I'm sure that you'll learn SOMETHING if you plug the right words into Google! Don't forget to Bing your search too. 🙂😏

@wrimbles The mainstream frequently DOES lie to people though... And I don't know where you get all your wordy post above (far too wordy to be relevant) as per usual saying or implying something about another person: ie, that I despise or dismiss all of art history. I don't. I just don't think it's a very scientific way to date objects. It somehow reminds me of the way in which, in the days before DNA, police used to rely on blood groups alone: or even more dubious technology, like hair analysis! Or stuff that wasn't scientific at all, like dodgy witnesses. Plenty of mistakes made there! Why don't you just admit that we don't currently have the technology, of dating items and things, to be able to dismiss all currently unfashionable theories? The history of science should be renamed the history of fashion, imo.

@althepalno1164 Yes: but if you don't really understand the concepts, you're told to take it on trust. And there have been plenty of con-men scientists and hoaxes: albeit not in the field of basic physics. 🙂

I don't think I've ever heard of the oddly named miniminuteman: except for the fact that for a few days, a week or so ago, a video recommendation kept turning up on my feed, with the thumbnail saying something to the effect of "I prove miniminuteman to be a fraud" or similar. As I had never heard of this character, I was not tempted to click. 🤷‍♀️ (It's not that boring young male archaeologist or whatever with the long blond hair, is it? WOW what a bore: with pathetic arguments and silly hair to match! Drives me crazy. DEFINITELY not following him!)
