  11. Keir Starmer is a clueless arse! 👎 But WHY, instead of warming up a river, can't the excess heat generated by say a large Amazon plant, be diverted to heat local housing, businesses and schools? I'm SURE I've heard of such "heat diversion" schemes!!

  13. I would have thought that Trump will be adjudged a huge flop, if he DOES manage to come through on his promises! (What about all those JOBS he was talking about the last time?) Especially if he makes tons of cuts (which will result in job losses) and cuts old people's Medicaid and all that! WHY did they vote for him, if he was going to do that? 😏 I think that both he and the useless Musk should be given enough rope! THEN, as you suggest, he will lose the midterms in 2 years time (something which the UK doesn't even have, sadly. 😏) The inflation-increasing Trump... Perhaps countries should just learn not to elect clowns. But he's a 1-term president anyway. So that means the Republicans won't get in next time.

Well the thing with Trump, is that he is going to have to learn what he should have learned as a toddler: namely that he CAN'T have, everything that he points at and stamps his feet over! 😏 It will all have to pass the House of Representatives (you've just pointed out, that the US has nothing so undemocratic as a "whipping system") AND the Supreme Court. Also, re the criticism by the bishop (she phrased it very humbly and nicely, I must say.) Do you remember how in 1984, bishops and archbishops of the Church of England criticised Margaret Thatcher? With Dr Robert Runcie, Archbishop of Canterbury, at their head? 🙂 I was still at school, but I remember it. Weren't the Tories wild over that! 😄 But it's what unjust leaders and parties must expect. Even layers of the establishment will disapprove of them. 😏

Therefore, why should I concern myself with this nothing-burger? 🤷‍♀️ I honestly don't think most of the youth in this country (let's say under-30s - again, it depends how you define youth!) Can at all identify with that old fogey Farage. Why would they? He appeals to the Jeremy Clarkson generation. Trump - well, that's in America. Andrew Tate... I have heard that some small proportion of male youth have been taken in by him, and his ideas concerning pimping businesses. 😏 Probably some very stupid boys: the kind that also carry knives..

  37. I don't think it's really food, or sugar, or alcohol that makes people fat. I think it's lack of exercise;and things like poverty wages meaning people can't afford gym memberships, or just can't find the time. When I lived in Germany, for example, I ate their GIANORMOUS ice creams at ice cream parlours at least once a week; and scoffed potato pancakes at their Kirmesse which were hero on every bank holiday, and they had a million of those: but I could afford a gym membership (low rents) and therefore I managed to maintain a fairly slim weight. Back to poverty wages UK: long story short, after uni, in my first job I couldn't afford a gym (no matter that they were trendy at the time) and there were no nearby keep-fit classes. So gradually, my weight started to pile on... 😏
