Yet that massive bill to massively cut social programs, bothered them so little (though it will directly affect so many of their constituents) that they just voted for it near unanimously. 👎 Some "America first". 😏

  10. Mind you, the Church only really started on witch hunts, once it had eliminated all the competing Christian sects, principally the Gnostics. (Cathars and Albigenses.) Some people claimed that Gnostics were witches too. And that they worshipped the devil. As for the war between Catholicism and Protestantism, which Harari does not mention, I read that it made everything worse. Anyway, most Protestants agreed with Catholics that they hated witches. The best Protestant theologians and writers did not believe in them, however.
