I am thinking more of a legendary figure who society found a challenge and a "nuisance", such as the figure who is well known in Germany for centuries, Till Eulenspiegel: well known for mocking the Church and its prelates! (Who says the Germans never had a sense of humour! 😏) Now Till Eulenspiegel's last name is to be translated as follows: SPIEGEL means "Mirror": as in the title of the publication of that name. And "EULE" is the German for the bird, the owl. In German folklore the owl is more seen as a figure of fun, than something wise. So. Someone who holds a MIRROR up to an OWL in that culture, is holding a mirror up to society to show it how bloody stupid it looks and acts! Same with any "Edgy" comedian worth his salt. 😏

Result: no trial, charges are thrown out. Result for media; BIG fail! Apart from all the reputational damage, of course!

Did you know that there is a cop from the London Met who has now been charged with murder, for shooting an unarmed black man called Chris Kaba to death, last year? Did you know that the Met Police still haven't relased his name, so he is anonymous? And that they have made press releases basically telling the press to keep quiet, in case the cop doesn't get a fair trial? 😏
