  12. @djoldschool  But then again, not everybody is in a position to get a mortgage. (So we need a supply of properties to rent. Whobis to own them? Can't all be council houses... And councils currently have no money to buy or build them.) And if this guy were to sell his 15 properties on the open market, on account of his being an MP... wouldn't all the tenants get turfed out? (Can you sell rental properties as a "going concern"? Honestly I don't know. If they were, would the rents increase? 😏)
