@frankkrunk There are definitely problems with Mars.. Doesn't mean humans shouldn't go there for research, not to live in colonies (unless terraforming becomes a thing.)

@dvas2686 Well: Elon isn't big on psychology, empathy or EQ, so it's not surprising he wouldn't arrive at the right conclusion! Probably doesn't have much empathy with his own childhood self. He's also not a biologist, so he would not have much knowledge as to why humans are evolutionarily primed to be scared of the dark - there really were monsters in it, once- and still are, in some countries! (Though actually, as a South African, he should know that...)
