(Having said that, it must be said - I'm a Brit - that the UK govt / NHS simply would not pay - in a lot of cases - for a medicine if it got this expensive: even if it did possess some unique advantages that would improve the lives of a minority of people. The same is true of certain cancer drugs - ppl here have to fight to get them. However of course, the NHS does bring its mighty bargaining power to bear. On the cost of all medicines.) BTW.
