@JohnNewtoneu Yeah but... I've heard that all the PROFESSIONAL submarines have all kinds of safety backups.. They have to have hard wired backups as well, not just Bluetooth!

I don't think you can charge a dead man with anything.
1
@michiganman9599 Hmm. I STILL don't think that there is any legal process, anywhere, which will allow you to try a dead man. After all, he is unable to assist in his own defence! 😏 I have seen "trials" on TV of historical personages, but this is usually done as a form of theatre, not law.

@Buster01Actual Really?
1
@faticus5369 Let's hope so.

@Romulan2469 There is such a thing as an unfair contract, which is unenforceable. (I learned this from consumer programmes on TV when I was a teenager.)
1
@Romulan2469 Unreasonable. In the view of the average "right-thinking person". Film developing companies got sued and lost over this.
1
@Romulan2469 Sigh. 😏 Well I don't know THAT much about US law, other than what I have read in the novels of Michael Connelly and John Grisham (two of my favourites 🙂.) But I have heard, via said consumer programmes and such, quite a bit about contract law in the UK. Let me see if YT and it's absurd algorithms will let me quote the summary I found on Google: The Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 (UCTA) prohibits unfair exclusion clauses in contracts, such as disclaimers, that limit a party's liability. Notices The Consumer Rights Act 2015 extends unfair terms protection to notices, which can be particularly useful for end user license agreements. Unfair terms Unfair terms are not legally binding on consumers and cannot be enforced in court. For example, a business cannot force a consumer to pay based on an unfair term, and a consumer can sue for compensation if an unfair term limits liability for poor workmanship. See? 😏
1
@Romulan2469 Well: I did place a reply: but for some reason (maybe because I quoted from Google?) Failtube vanished it. 😏

They did, kinda: and had several successful dives. But with a design like that, the more you send it down, the worse the structure gets!
